  • Overview and Responsibilities

    SUMMARY:

    • Nickelodeon Animation has an exciting new opportunity for an Unreal Engine Sequencer Engineer to work on a CG animated sitcom. We are seeking candidates who are familiar with the CG animation pipeline and Unreal Engine 4. The UE4 Sequencer Engineer is responsible for establishing workflows for editorial and virtual cameras, building complex level sequences and managing the real-time motion capture sequences in engine.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Work with editorial to establish a workflow between live reference footage and CG
    • Work with the UE4 Pipeline Engineer to build tools to automate level sequences
    • Develop plugins for Virtual Cameras in Unreal Engine
    • Create complex level sequences to support requests from creative and technical leads
    • Prepare and Manage UE4 Episode Projects for capture days
    • Write technical documentation and clearly communicate complex solutions and challenges
    • Adapt existing systems to fulfill the projects technical requirements
    • Create in engine animation and blocking in sequencer to support editorial

    Basic Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

    • 3+ years of experience working in Unreal Engine 4
    • 1+ years building tools and developing in Python
    • Experience with UE4 source engine
    • Extensive background using UE4 Sequencer
    • Self-motivated and problem solver with excellent debugging skills
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills
    • Proven ability to meet deadlines
    • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
    • Is a team player, who genuinely enjoys working with others
    • Must have a positive attitude and encourage collaboration

    DESIRED SKILLS:

    • Extensive knowledge of the CG animation process
    • Experience in television animation, feature animation, or video games
    • Previous experience working with Motion Capture
    • Experience with Virtual Camera workflows in UE4
