  • Overview and Responsibilities


    • Nickelodeon Animation has an exciting new opportunity for a CG Generalist to work on a CG animated sitcom. We are seeking candidates who are familiar with the CG animation pipeline and Unreal Engine. The CG Generalist is responsible for modeling, rigging, and texturing across characters, props and environments.


    • Ensure all assets are modeled, rigged, & textured for Unreal Engine
    • Validate and Finalize character assets from vendor studios
    • Work with the Character TD to ensure all rigs are ready for motion capture and facial performance
    • Ensure all CG characters and props are one to one with their physical counterpart
    • Improve and Add Facial Blendshapes to characters
    • Model, Rig, and Texture props to be used in real-time and in environments 
    • Establish a workflow and standard for characters, props, and environments in UE4
    • Validate all assets in UE4 prior to each episode
    • Work with production designer to translate set schematics to CG
    • Work with UE4 Artists to build sets and make adjustments to marketplace assets as needed

    Basic Qualifications


    • 2+ years of experience working in television animation, feature animation, or video games as a CG Generalist
    • 1+ years of experience working in Unreal Engine
    • Excellent knowledge of Maya
    • Strong understanding of both Figure and Facial Anatomy
    • Strong knowledge of IK and FK systems
    • Experience with Photoshop and Substance Painter
    • Possess a comprehensive understanding of animation techniques for the purpose of proactive problem solving and trouble shooting
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills
    • Proven ability to meet deadlines and keep a team on schedule
    • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
    • Is a team player, who genuinely enjoys working with others
    • Must have a positive attitude and encourage collaboration
